Job summary

The Assistant Operator supports the operation of specialized industrial equipment, assisting in tasks like equipment setup, sit preparation, and hydro-excavation. This role ensures safety compliance while contributing to infrastructure maintenance and excavation projects. $23.00 per hour and up based on experience with many opportunities for pay increases and career advancement! RESPONSIBILITES What You'll Be Doing: * Requires travel to assign job location/assignment. * Operates the on-board hydro-vacuum system outside the truck and performs other duties such as clean-up, mobilization, and general maintenance of the equipment. * Communicates effectively and professionally and demonstrates a strong customer service focus in all interactions. * Troubleshoots minor mechanical issues and as the need arises perform minor repairs to equipment. * Attends safety meetings and ensures all tasks are always completed in a safe and professional manner. QUALIFICATIONS What You'll Need For Success: * Educational high school diploma or GED. * Previous hydrovac, trucking, vacuum truck or other related industrial experience preferred. * Must have a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record. * CSO safety card certification is required. (If applicant does not hold this certification, Badger will pay for computer-based training with applicant completing on-line course within 5 days of hiring. Certification is the property of the applicant.) * Capable of working variable shifts with extended hours. * Must be able to hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty. * Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl. * Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds. * Must be able to work in all outdoor elements for extended periods of time.
