The Role We are seeking a Proposals Lead to strengthen and coordinate the systems, resources, and processes that support our proposal submissions. This role will help ensure our proposal teams have the tools, information, examples, and coordination support they need to produce high-quality, competitive submissions. This is a full-time role suited to someone who is highly organized, collaborative, systems-minded, and comfortable working across technical, marketing, and business development teams. This position can be based at one of our Canadian locations listed here. Responsibilities Proposal Content Management and Process Improvement Develop and improve processes related to accessing and managing submitted proposal examples, templates, standard language, resumes, project descriptions, graphics, and supporting materials. Ensure proposal content is accurate, current, well-organized, and easy for proposal teams to access and reuse. Support the development of proposal standards, checklists, best practices, and review processes. Develop and support training and onboarding for staff involved in proposal development. Competitive and Market Intelligence Monitor procurement platforms and work with BGC Sector and project teams to enable Go/No-Go decision-making. Monitor competitive proposal award notices and outcomes, including maintaining intelligence on competitors, clients, selection criteria, pricing trends, and proposal strategies. Summarize trends and insights quarterly to inform future pursuits and improve proposal competitiveness. Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as a central point of coordination for proposal-related systems and information. Work closely with project teams, Sector Leads, resource management, quality, contracts, IT, safety, marketing and communications staff, and senior management. Help connect people and teams across BGC with relevant examples, resources, and expertise. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and knowledge sharing around proposals. Required Education, Experience & Competencies Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. 10+ years of relevant experience in a professional services environment Experience in proposal coordination, proposal management, business development or operations, preferably within engineering consulting Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to work effectively with technical professionals and translate complex project information into clear, useful proposal content Comfortable working independently while coordinating across many stakeholders Desired Education, Experience & Competencies Experience preparing or supporting proposals for private-sector, public-sector or multidisciplinary engineering consulting clients. Familiarity with procurement processes, RFPs, RFQs, EOIs, and competitive selection processes. Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Co-Pilot and similar tools. Experience with AI tools and applications support proposal development, content management, research, or process improvement. Understanding of engineering, environmental, geotechnical, infrastructure, mining, or related consulting sectors. BGC's compensation package also includes a discretionary bonus plan, training allowance, and comprehensive medical and dental plan.
