THE ROLE Under the supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, the Skating Program Monitor monitors public skating. They organize equipment setup and equipment takedown. They monitor and interact with participants during activities. They monitor the start and finish time of skate programs. They monitor participants and ensure the established safety rules are followed during the skating period. Qualifications Needed Education, Certifications and Licenses Some high school and some years of experience in a related field Current CPR and Current Basic First Aid (formerly Emergency First Aid) level certification HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) Experience In skating In ice sports such as figure skating, hockey or ringette. In behavior and patron management Competencies Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership. Requirements
