Catholic Social Services is currently recruiting for a full time (40 hours/week) Program Assistant in our Red Deer Immigration and Settlement office. Job Summary: As a Program Assistant, your understanding of the needs of newcomers is very important as you will be responsible in providing contact information, resources and general information to newcomers. You will be responsible for filing, documentation, making phone calls, taking meeting minutes, filling forms, and data input. Your attention to detail will assist you in compiling and preparing statistical reports. Your team building skills will assist you in organizing and participating in various meetings. What This Job Requires: Post-secondary education related to office administration 3 - 5 years’ experience working in an administrative role Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Experience working with newcomers to Canada is considered an asset Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Detail oriented and organized Criminal Record Check from local RCMP or City Police Child Intervention Record Check What We Offer: The compensation for this position begins at $23.75 per hour and is based on qualifications and experience.
