Job summary
CIMCO is looking for experienced Fitter-Welders for our facility in Burlington. Responsibilities include assembling, welding (MIG, TIG), blueprint reading, and quality checks. Must thrive in a unionized, team-based environment. Shifts are on rotation: Monday–Thursday at 6:00AM - 3:00PM & 2:45PM – 1:15AM & Friday at 6:00AM-12:00PM. Role Responsibilities * Using and maintaining welding machines and specialty tools * Assembling components so they are ready for installation * Reading and interpreting project plans * Performing MIG, TIG and other types of welding methods depending on the project * Finding and fixing faults in pipework * Carrying out planned maintenance checks Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications * Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes. * Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration and adaptability are important. * Ability to problem solve, make decisions, plan and organize jobs and tasks. * Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills. * Strong organizational skills with an exceptional eye for detail. * Ability to work in a unionized environment.
