We may use AI-enabled and/or automated tools to support parts of our recruitment process, including application screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications. These tools are used to enhance consistency and efficiency. All hiring decisions involve human review and are not based solely on automated processing. Environment: Enterprise Risk / Stress Testing & Executive Reporting Mission Build and deploy scalable Power BI reporting solutions to replace the team’s current spreadsheet-based reporting environment. The resources will take ownership of pulling and analyzing data, developing Power BI dashboards and reports, and helping move the team toward a more stable and automated reporting capability within the next 4-6 months. Day-to-Day: Extract and analyze data from relational databases and other data sources. Build, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions. Convert existing spreadsheet-based reporting into scalable Power BI solutions. Build data models, calculations, visualizations, and executive-level reports. Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and meaningful business insights. Validate data accuracy and troubleshoot reporting/data issues. Work closely with the Project Manager and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into reporting solutions. Support testing, deployment, and ongoing improvements to Power BI solutions. Must-Haves: 3+ years of hands-on Power BI experience. Experience independently building and deploying Power BI solutions from end to end. Strong experience with data extraction and analysis. Experience working with relational databases and large datasets. Strong reporting and analytics background. Ability to take business requirements and translate them into functional dashboards and reporting solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Pluses: SAS experience. Python experience. SQL experience. Power Query / DAX experience. Previous banking or financial services experience. Experience supporting risk, regulatory, stress-testing, or executive reporting environments. Business Context: The team supports regulatory stress testing, risk and scenario analysis, and executive reporting across Bank's Canadian and Wholesale operations. Their work includes designing stress-testing scenarios, working with modeling groups, and analyzing emerging risks such as climate change, tariffs and geopolitical events, AI adoption, workforce disruption, credit risk, and the potential impact these changes could have on Bank and its clients. The team also presents stress-testing results and risk analysis to senior executives. Their existing spreadsheet-based reporting has grown too large and is frequently crashing, creating the need to modernize the reporting environment through Power BI. Ideal Candidate Profile: Someone who is more than just a Power BI dashboard developer. The ideal candidate can independently take a business problem from raw data through to a deployed reporting solution — pulling and transforming data, performing analysis, building the Power BI solution, and communicating the insights back to stakeholders. They should be comfortable working with complex datasets and ambiguous business problems and ideally have experience building reporting solutions that are used by senior leadership or within a regulated financial-services environment.
