Job Dispatch Responsibilities: Ensures the timely resolution of customer inquiries, concerns and problems. Supports Regional Transportation operations offering assistance and guidance as required. Plans and schedules for team members to ensure proper staffing across all shifts, ensuring alignment with volumes and service expectations. Reviews accuracy of time and attendance reporting to ensure legal compliance with hours of work. Compiles data on incidents and accidents, distributes and communications with appropriate personnel. Committed to achieving Transportation targets in a timely fashion while focusing on continuous improvement. Effectively and efficiently responding to Client and employee inquiries; resolving any conflicts or problems that might arise; etc. Assist with Gatehouse duties as required (where applicable). Skills and Knowledge: Awareness of Highway traffic act including hours of service, TDG, weight restrictions etc. Strong knowledge of applicable routes within region. Working knowledge of transportation cargo claims, transportation laws and risk management. Must have excellent organizational skills, work collaboratively, resource allocation, problem solving and troubleshooting; information gathering including research, interpretation and analysis Communication skills including written (reports) Email and verbal (internal and external customers) Indirect supervision of driving staff on a daily basis; ability to lead, motivate and manage a team; strong customer focus. Intermediate keyboarding skills using a PC and knowledge of email, word processing and spreadsheet experience Strong time-management skills, with the ability to multitask, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of applicable routes within region. Minimum Education Required: High School Minimum Years of Experience Required: 2 to 3 years Job Type: Permanent Position Expected hours: 40 hours per week but could vary depending on the operational needs.
