Reporting to the Operations Manager, the driver ensures the safe, timely, and efficient collection of waste while delivering quality customer service. Job Requirements: Completion of high school (post-secondary courses or diploma considered an asset); 1–2 years of driving experience in the waste industry; 5 years of driving experience in a DZ vehicle (preferred); Experience with Front-End vehicles (preferred); Knowledge of the industry is an asset; Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer focus skills; Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and work safely. Responsibilities: Complete assigned daily routes safely and in a timely manner. Drive to customer sites, set, lift, and empty bins into front-end vehicle, and return bins to original location. Transfer waste to the appropriate transfer station, landfill, or drop-off location, following all facility protocols. Satisfy customer service needs in accordance with established policies. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (may require climbing truck ladder to inspect loads). Perform driver check-ins and complete accurate daily paperwork at the end of the day. Maintain communication with operations management and report any issues. All other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager. #Matrec We thank you for your interest.
