Tester - OpenText SharePoint Location: Toronto, ON Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 1 year (extension possible, no guarantee; conversion possible, no guarantee) Pay Rate: C$35.00–C$45.00 / Hour (CAD) Shift / Schedule: Monday to Friday – core business hours Travel Requirements: Not required --- Job Summary This is a migration project role supporting a large team of 20 professionals. The contractor will play a key part in an important initiative for the organization, contributing to the migration from OpenText TeamSite to SharePoint — an internal intranet moving from one platform to the next. --- Key Responsibilities Comparing migrated content to legacy content Confirming functionality of the new site is working Ensuring all content is carried over from the page Identifying challenges and checking for quality Validating through to fixing Will need to be a critical thinker and must be detail oriented Ensuring all tables and attachments have migrated Supporting migration readiness — addressing scripting issues and ensuring that they are working correctly Confirming procedures have transferred Identifying missing steps, content, and sequencing — need to ensure that this is accurate as it impacts customers Re-testing --- Required Skills Testing experience (4 years) OpenText TeamSite and SharePoint experience (4 years) Validating migrated content Documenting defects Must have strong command of the English language — both written and verbal Will need to be a critical thinker and must be detail oriented Must be able to work independently Must be able to articulate when coming across challenges and be comfortable doing so, as finding errors is critical for the migration --- Preferred Skills HTML coding Prior experience working on similar migration projects Banking or enterprise experience --- Education Requirements Post-secondary education required No certifications required --- Required Experience 4 years of overall experience in testing, validation, and content management QA / validating migrated content Technical testing experience OpenText TeamSite to SharePoint migration experience — internal intranet moving from one platform to the next --- Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund --- About the Client This client is a leading financial services and banking institution operating across Canada and internationally, with a large-scale technology and digital infrastructure team.
