Job summary

We are hiring a Technical Sales Engineer for a permanent position on behalf of a well-established organization in Montreal. You are a technical backbone of the sales cycle and will partner directly with Account Executives and Customer Success to translate client requirements into validated solutions — owning technical discovery, solution design, proof-of-concept delivery, and integration scoping across Core, Pro, Pro+, and Enterprise tiers. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of product, engineering, and revenue — ideal for someone who can speak fluently to both a CTO's integration concerns and a Head of Compliance's audit requirements in the same meeting. What you’ll do: Technical discovery & solution design — Lead technical deep-dives with prospects to map their content/translation/localization workflows to four-pillar architecture, identifying the right combination of engines and tier for their use case. Proof-of-concept ownership — Scope, configure, and deliver POCs that demonstrate measurable outcomes (e.g., automation cost savings, turnaround time, quality uplift), working closely with clients' technical stakeholders. Integration scoping — Assess client tech stacks (CMS, TMS, document management, workflow tools) and define integration paths, API requirements, and implementation effort ahead of contract close. Sales enablement — Partner with AEs on deal strategy for technically complex opportunities; deliver product demos and technical presentations tailored to client maturity and vertical. Cross-functional feedback loop — Serve as the voice of the field back to Product and Engineering, surfacing recurring technical objections, integration gaps, and feature requests that shape the roadmap. Handoff to Customer Success — Ensure clean technical handoff post-close, documenting solution architecture decisions so implementation teams aren't rebuilding context. What you bring: 4+ years in a Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Pre-sales role, ideally at a B2B SaaS or AI/ML company selling into regulated or enterprise markets. Working knowledge of NLP, machine translation, or content/document AI — you don't need to have built an MT engine, but you should be conversant in concepts like quality estimation, post-editing workflows, and LLM-based generation. Demonstrated ability to run a technical sales cycle end-to-end: discovery, POC, RFP response, close, handoff. Comfort navigating compliance-heavy conversations (data residency, security certifications, audit trails) — experience in banking, insurance, healthcare, or government verticals is a strong plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to flex between technical and executive audiences in the same day. Fully bilingual English/French Familiarity with API-based integrations and enterprise content/workflow tools (CMS, TMS, DMS) is a plus.
