Job Title :-AV VC Conference Room Specialist Location :-MISSISSAUGA,ON Must Have :- Audio Video Conference Room and Event Management Support Job Description - This role requires a combination of advanced audio-visual technical expertise, effective communication, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering reliable AV and event support for business-critical meetings and collaboration spaces. As an AV and Microsoft Teams Rooms Technician, your detailed responsibilities include: Lead the planning and delivery of AV and event support services for executive meetings, Town Halls, webinars, and enterprise-wide events, including strategic communications involving executives. Determine appropriate event spaces and room configurations, and ensure flawless execution through proactive planning, testing, dry runs, and real-time event management. Configure, operate, and troubleshoot video switchers, multi-camera setups, PTZ camera controllers, microphone systems, confidence monitors, displays, and related AV equipment. Perform room readiness checks, dry runs, and end-to-end testing before important meetings, executive sessions, Town Halls, and other high-profile events. Perform preventative maintenance and routine health checks on AV and conferencing equipment to identify and resolve potential issues before they affect meetings or users. Manage and maintain Microsoft Teams Rooms, Poly Com Rooms and video conferencing spaces, ensuring AV systems remain operational, reliable, and ready for daily business use. Monitor room health and respond quickly to critical AV incidents and meeting-impacting issues, prioritizing business-critical and executive-facing meetings and events. Diagnose and resolve AV hardware, software, peripheral, and connectivity issues, coordinating with internal support teams or vendors when escalation is required. Assist with AV system deployments, room standardization, configuration changes, technology refreshes, and improvements to maintain consistency across meeting spaces. Validate room functionality following maintenance, repairs, upgrades, software or firmware updates, and equipment changes before returning rooms to service. Maintain accurate AV asset inventories and equipment records, including hardware details, room configurations, replacements, upgrades, warranties, and lifecycle requirements. Communicate clearly with users, event owners, executives, support teams, and vendors before, during, and after meetings or events. Stay current with AV technology trends, Microsoft Teams Rooms capabilities, firmware and software releases, and industry best practices. Demonstrate flexibility and composure while supporting high-visibility events and resolving urgent technical issues in a dynamic enterprise environment. Share technical knowledge and best practices with support teams to improve AV service quality and operational readiness. Requirements and skills: Proven work experience as an Audio Visual Technician, AV Support Engineer, Microsoft Teams Rooms Technician, Unified Communications Technician, or a similar role. 3-5 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise AV, video conferencing, collaboration rooms, or live corporate events. Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms, Poly Com Rooms and associated room peripherals, displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, and touch consoles. Experience supporting executive meetings, Town Halls, webinars, hybrid meetings, and other high-profile or business-critical events. Working knowledge of video switchers, multi-camera environments, PTZ cameras and controllers, microphone systems, confidence monitors, signal flow, and presentation technologies. Ability to troubleshoot AV hardware, software, firmware, cabling, peripherals, and basic network connectivity issues. Experience performing room readiness checks, preventative maintenance, equipment installations, repairs, replacements, upgrades, and post-change validation. Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies, and basic networking concepts. Experience maintaining AV asset inventories, room configuration records, support documentation, and equipment lifecycle information. Excellent customer service orientation, verbal communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize urgent incidents, and remain calm while supporting executive-facing or time-sensitive events. Ability to work flexible hours when required to support scheduled events, maintenance activities, or critical incidents. Experience with Microsoft Teams Admin Center, AV monitoring platforms, live streaming technologies, and enterprise room standardization is preferred.

Candidates should be able to troubleshoot AV equipment and basic connectivity, perform room maintenance and testing, maintain asset records, and communicate effectively while supporting time-sensitive events.
