Job summary
Sales Coordinator Play a key role in bringing groups to an iconic wellness brand and building the partnerships that keep them coming back. Are you energetic, curious, and motivated to contribute to a growing wellness company? Scandinave Spa Whistler is looking for a Sales Coordinator. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will support the spa's group sales day-to-day, responding to enquiries, preparing quotes and confirmations, and building relationships with hotel concierges, local businesses and activity partners that drive new bookings and revenue. You will also be our presence on the ground in Whistler Village and at events. You will lend a hand on marketing campaigns along the way. Compensation: $50,000 to $60,000 Your mission: Turn conversations into bookings Coordinating and executing the sales plan with the Marketing Manager to drive business objectives, including new business and partnerships. Coordinating, executing, and reporting on group sales (15+ people) with Destination Management Companies and private group organizers. Leading Scandinave Spa’s referral and reward programs for Whistler businesses. Managing the Scandinave Spa’s presence in Whistler Village: coordinating signage, distributing brochures, building relationships with hotel concierges, retailers, activity providers and other partners, and facilitating partner/industry visits (FAMs). Representing Scandinave Spa at key events with pre-event preparation, attending event, set up, tear down and managing logistics on the day. Will involve standing for extended periods of time and some heavy lifting. Some event travel may be required. Managing Scandinave Spa’s charitable donations. Assisting the Marketing Manager with marketing activities such as contesting, social media, advertising, and PR. Providing administrative support as required. All other tasks requested of you for the smooth and efficient function of the Scandinave Spa Whistler. What you bring: Enthusiastic, hardworking, positive attitude and organized with great attention to detail. Results-oriented and sales-minded, motivated by targets and measurable growth. A natural relationship-builder, comfortable approaching partners (internal and external), concierges and local businesses. Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision. A team player who works in a collaborative spirit, shares information and pitches in where help is needed. Able to think on your feet, be proactive, problem solve, and be flexible with change. Enjoys contributing creative ideas in a collaborative team environment. Thrives on variety, comfortable juggling group bookings, events and partnerships in the same week. What we're looking for: Post-secondary education in business, marketing or similar. Minimum of 2 years of sales, marketing or customer service experience is an asset. Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent; experience with a point-of-sale or booking system is an asset. Valid BC driver's licence, own vehicle preferred. Must be available to work full-time and flexible to shift the work schedule around to accommodate events, groups and media visits. Knowledge of the spa, hospitality, or tourism industry is an asset. Requirements
