Software Engineer Contract: 12 months + extensions Hybrid: 1-2 days - Toronto, ON Rate: $55-62/hr Required Skills & Experience -5+ years of Software Engineering experience -Very strong hands-on Python development experience -Experience working with Databricks in a production environment -Experience building or supporting LLM-based solutions -Hands-on experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) -Experience utilizing LangChain or similar orchestration frameworks -Strong understanding of APIs, backend application development, and system integrations -MCP (Model Context Protocol) -Experience working within Agile development environments and sprint-based delivery models -Ability to manage multiple features, initiatives, or large epics concurrently Job Description Our client is seeking a Software Engineer. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with strong Python expertise, experience working with Databricks and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, and practical experience leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) within enterprise applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment and can manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. We may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with the screening, assessment, or selection of potential applicants for this position. Requirements

Candidates should have hands-on RAG experience, familiarity with LangChain or similar frameworks and MCP, strong backend/API and integration knowledge, and experience working in Agile teams.
