About the role
POSITION DETAILS
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of architectural designs, including conceptualization, drafting, and detailing for custom fabrication projects.
- Collaborate with senior designers and project teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with client specifications.
- Prepare and revise CAD drawings, 3D models, and renderings for client presentations, fabrication, and construction purposes.
- Support the preparation of materials, finishes, and product specifications for the projects.
- Coordinate with fabrication teams to ensure the design intent is translated accurately into production.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input to improve project outcomes.
- Research and source materials and technologies that may be utilized in the design and fabrication process.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, software tools, and best practices in architectural design and fabrication.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Rhino, or similar) and 3D modeling tools (e.g., SketchUp, Revit).
- Basic understanding of architectural design principles, materials, and fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with building codes, construction methods, and structural principles.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- A passion for architecture, design, and fabrication, with a desire to learn and grow in the field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with parametric design or computational design software (e.g., Grasshopper, Dynamo).
- Knowledge of rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Enscape, or similar).
- Previous experience in architectural fabrication or related industries is a plus.
VACANCY STATUS AND LOCATION
This vacancy is a new position at Maxxit System Inc.
This role will require 4 days per week on site at the Toronto office located at 1000 Martin Grove Rd, Toronto, Ontario, M9W 4V8.
COMPENSATION
Theannualcompensation range for this position is**$60,000-$75,00****dependant upon experience.**
