Our client is a growing and collaborative organization involved in the development and delivery of low-rise, mid-rise, residential, and commercial projects across Ontario. This is an office-based role where you'll join a team that values accountability, teamwork, and a hands-on approach to project delivery. Their office is based in Toronto's west end, close to Kipling Subway station.
Your new role
As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in coordinating and supporting projects through all stages of development, from early feasibility studies to final project completion. Working under the guidance of the Senior Architectural Manager, you will be responsible for producing and coordinating architectural drawings, ensuring project documentation is accurate, organized, and delivered on schedule.
Key responsibilities include
Coordinating and maintaining project drawings using Revit. Producing architectural drawing packages under the direction of senior leadership. Supporting projects from feasibility and planning stages through to construction completion. Preparing and coordinating documentation for key project milestones, including Rezoning, Site Plan Approval (SPA), RFP submissions, and Building Permits. Managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Conducting occasional site visits to review project progress and gather information. Reviewing drawings for quality, accuracy, and coordination across project teams. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will hold a diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of three years of experience gained within an architectural practice, development company, home builder, or construction environment. You will have strong technical proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, AI rendering software, and Microsoft Excel, coupled with a solid understanding of the Ontario Building Code.
Experience preparing architectural drawing packages for key project milestones, including Rezoning, Site Plan Approval (SPA), RFP submissions, and Building Permits, is essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent project coordination, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are also important, as is a collaborative and proactive approach to project delivery.
