Job details
A distinctive, ingredient-driven restaurant in Sarnia is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the front-of-house operation and help shape the next chapter of an established local dining destination. Built around fresh ingredients, handmade food, and genuine hospitality, this restaurant takes pride in doing the simple things exceptionally well. From house-baked bread to handmade pasta, care and attention go into every detail, creating a dining experience that feels warm, thoughtful, and deeply connected to the food being served. This is an opportunity for a confident, hands-on hospitality leader who enjoys being on the floor, building relationships with guests and creating a strong service culture. You will inherit an experienced, long-standing front-of-house team and will be responsible for earning their trust, setting clear expectations, and bringing consistency, accountability, and positive leadership to the operation. The successful candidate will be highly visible during service, naturally engaged with both guests and employees, and aware of everything happening throughout the restaurant. You will know when to coach, when to step in, and when to empower your team, while maintaining the standards and attention to detail expected from a quality-driven restaurant. Description Previous restaurant management experience within a quality-focused, full-service dining environment. A confident and credible leadership style with the ability to lead an established team. Strong hands-on operational instincts and a genuine preference for being present on the restaurant floor. Excellent guest relations skills and a natural ability to connect with people. Strong coaching, communication and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to establish expectations and hold people accountable in a fair, respectful and constructive manner. Strong awareness of restaurant flow, service standards and the many details that contribute to a successful shift. Comfortable working closely with culinary leadership in a collaborative environment. Organized, dependable and able to remain composed in a busy restaurant setting. Flexible and adaptable with the willingness to adjust schedules based on operational requirements. A genuine appreciation for quality food, thoughtful hospitality and the craft behind a well-run restaurant.
