Senior Contract Professional – Contract Administration & Contractor Management Location: Burnaby, BC Duration: 12-Month Contract Work Arrangement: Hybrid Openings: 2 About The Opportunity MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking two Senior Contract Professionals to support one of British Columbia's largest utility providers. These positions will focus on contract administration, contractor management, and post-award contract execution, supporting complex service agreements and ongoing project delivery. The successful candidates will play a key role in onboarding contractors, administering commercial contracts, managing contractual documentation, and supporting contractor performance and governance activities. This opportunity is well suited to experienced contract professionals who combine strong commercial judgment with hands-on contract administration skills, particularly those who have supported installation, maintenance, infrastructure, or industrial contractors. Key Responsibilities Coordinate contractor onboarding under newly executed Master Service Agreements (MSAs), ensuring contractual, administrative, and system requirements are completed. Administer medium to high-complexity commercial contracts throughout their lifecycle. Prepare, review, and manage formal contract correspondence, documentation, submittals, and transmittals. Integrate newly awarded contracts into existing portfolios, establishing governance, reporting, and administration processes. Provide contract interpretation, guidance, and administrative support to project delivery teams. Identify contractual and commercial risks, support negotiations, and help mitigate potential claims and disputes. Lead contractor performance management activities, including performance measurement, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage SAP purchase requisitions, Service Entry Sheets, invoice approvals, and payment processes. Coordinate annual rate adjustments, contract change orders, and other contractual modifications. Organize and facilitate contractor stewardship meetings, annual performance reviews, and contract governance discussions. Maintain accurate contract records, reporting, and documentation in accordance with established procedures. Required Qualifications Minimum 9 years of contract management experience, including extensive hands-on contract administration. Demonstrated experience interpreting, administering, and managing commercial contracts throughout their lifecycle. Experience supporting installation and/or maintenance contractors is strongly preferred. Practical experience using SAP for procurement, purchasing, invoicing, and payment processing. Proficiency with SharePoint or similar document management systems for contract administration and records management. Experience providing contractual guidance to internal stakeholders, resolving issues, and supporting successful contract execution. Strong understanding of contractual obligations, commercial risks, and contractor relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent. Nice to Have Experience in procurement or supply chain management. Background in construction scheduling, project coordination, or project controls. Experience with contractor performance management, stewardship programs, or continuous improvement initiatives. Experience within utilities, infrastructure, industrial, construction, or large capital project environments. Certification in Project Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
