MatchBox Consulting is urgently seeking a Technical Business Analyst – Cloud Migration for a 6 month contract role with our New Westminster based client. This is a hybrid role 2 days on site and 3 days remote. Technical Business Analyst – Cloud Migration ( 6- Month Contract) Overview Support a cloud migration project by defining, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements for moving applications from on-premises to the cloud. Work closely with technical teams, consultants, and business stakeholders, following the organization's project management methodology. Contribute to testing, training, and change management to ensure full adoption. Key Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements through workshops, interviews, and document reviews Create requirements documents, user stories, use cases, and process flows Translate business needs into technical specifications and solution designs Analyze application integrations, data flows, and dependencies; support data migration Support project planning, scope, risk, and issue management Develop test cases and coordinate user acceptance testing Act as the liaison between business units, vendors, and IT teams Communicate status, risks, and impacts to stakeholders Support training, documentation, and user adoption Typical Deliverables Requirements documentation and traceability matrices Use cases or user stories As-is and future-state process maps Fit-gap analyses and impact assessments RACI matrices and decision analyses Operating procedures, user guides, and training materials Test plans, cases, and scripts Meeting minutes and status reports Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree with business analyst training, or equivalent experience 7+ years of technical business analysis experience, including 3+ years on cloud migration projects Experience with software or system replacement projects in complex enterprise environments Familiarity with Waterfall delivery (Agile experience is an asset) Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Visio, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint or Confluence Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment Assets Azure implementation experience Knowledge of Azure Migrate and Dr. Migrate For more current job opportunities, Follow MatchBox at linkedin.com/company/matchbox-recruitment/ _________________________ About MatchBox Headquartered in downtown Vancouver and serving clients nationally, MatchBox is one of the leading recruitment and solutions firms that specializes in the fields of IT & Technology, Engineering & Technical, Real Estate & Construction, and Accounting & Finance. Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree with business analyst training or equivalent experience, plus 7 or more years of technical business analysis experience, including at least 3 years on cloud migration projects. Candidates should have experience with enterprise system replacement projects, familiarity with Waterfall delivery, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint or Confluence; Azure experience is an asset.
