Our meat department is fundamental to Metros’ overall success with a focus on always fresh, in stock, and up to standards. General Responsibilities Receives direct deliveries, stocks and merchandises products Assists the Manager supervising, directing, motivating and training staff; in performing administrative duties; and in replacing the Manager during his/her absences Receives, prices, stocks, rotates and merchandises products Orders a full range of products and assists in taking inventory Implements and ensures adherence to Customer Service Policy Ensures adherence to Company policies and procedures and government regulations concerning health & safety, sanitation, security, etc. Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager Support with overall store operations including store opening and closing General Qualifications Customer service driven Able to stock merchandise and create displays Minimum 2 years’ meat cutting/supervisory experience Good product knowledge and attention to detail Able to lift up to 30 to 50 pounds Retail experience considered an asset. Able to stand for long periods of time Must be available to work flexible shifts which may include nights, weekends and holidays The responsibilities and relationships assigned to this role may change as is necessary to achieve Metro's business objectives.
