Job Description Midland Transport is currently seeking a Licensed Truck-Trailer Service Technician (310J) to join our Maintenance team in Brampton, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing commercial transport trailers, including dry vans, refrigerated trailers (reefers), and other trailer equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. What We Offer: 3 weeks paid vacation. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair trailer air brake systems, anti-lock braking systems (ABS), suspension systems, electrical systems, and landing gear. Perform preventative maintenance inspections, safety inspections, and regulatory inspections on commercial trailers. Inspect and repair trailer structural components, including doors, roofs, floors, walls, and undercarriage assemblies. Complete steel and aluminum welding, fabrication, and trailer body repairs as required. Replace damaged panels, doors, roofs, lighting systems, and other trailer components. Accurately document inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure fleet reliability and maximum equipment uptime. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid 310J Truck-Trailer Service Technician license. Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on trailer repair and maintenance experience. Strong knowledge of trailer air brake systems, ABS systems, electrical wiring, suspension systems, landing gear, and structural components. Experience performing steel and aluminum welding, fabrication, and trailer body repairs is preferred. Experience servicing refrigeration units (reefer trailers) and cargo heating systems is considered an asset. Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and diagnostics. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
