This will be a sessional term opportunity anticipated to begin November 2026 and end November 2027 course offerings are subject to sufficient student enrolment. Applicants should indicate which courses they are interested in and qualified to teach. Courses ENRT 110 – Intro to Natural Resources ENRT 141 – Aboriginal People & the Land ENRT 150 – Silvis & Dendrology ENRT 155 – Soil Science ENRT 160 – Field Survey I MATH 140 – Technical Mathematics COMM 140 – Technical Writing COMP 140 – Geographic Information Systems ENRT 145 – Fire Ecology ENRT 165 – Field Surveys II ENRT 170 – Principles of Ecology SCIE 140 – Ethnoscience Course listings with specific course details can be found: https://www.nvit.ca/programs/courses/#sec-4 Qualifications Master’s Degree in a related field, (Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience considered). Registered Professional Forester (RPF) preferred. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Strong connections and roots within Indigenous / First Nations communities preferred. Ability to work effectively as part of high functioning, student-focused team. Strong passion and commitment to learners and learning. Excellent teaching and human relations skills. Faculty members are expected to contribute positively to the life of the school and community. Strong connections and roots within Indigenous / First Nations communities. Demonstrated understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing Understanding of Canada’s colonial history and the devastating impacts on Indigenous peoples and Indigenous ways of being and knowing. Practice from a holistic, culturally safe and trauma-informed lens. Knowledge of and appreciation for Indigenous languages and cultures, and Indigenous lived experiences. Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships to achieve outcomes in the best interest of students and NVIT. A demonstrated commitment to quality service to students and the public.

Requirements
