Job Title: Clinical Partnerships Contractor (Temporary Contract) Company: CDI College Location: Alberta, Canada (Hybrid / Remote with Regional Travel) Job Type: Temporary / Contract About the Role CDI College is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and relationship-focused Clinical Partnerships Contractor to support the development and management of practicum opportunities for students enrolled in the Practical Nursing (PN) program in Alberta. The primary responsibility of this position is to identify, engage, qualify, and onboard healthcare organizations and practicum hosts willing and able to provide appropriate practicum placements for PN students. The Contractor will manage the operational process from initial outreach through organizational qualification, documentation, affiliation agreement completion, and ongoing relationship management. Contract Term & Compensation This is a temporary project-based position established to develop and execute the practicum partnership strategy required for the launch of CDI College's Practical Nursing program in Alberta. Base Retainer: $2,000 per month (paid monthly), initially structured for a maximum term of three (3) months. Per-Placement Incentive: $500 for each fully qualified and secured clinical placement letter / executed affiliation agreement. Milestone Success Bonus: A $5,000 lump-sum bonus upon successfully achieving the aggregate clinical capacity required for the proposed PN intake (tied to the target of 32 active partner agreements). Travel & Expenses: Pre-approved travel and mileage expenses incurred while visiting healthcare organizations across Alberta will be reimbursed in accordance with corporate policy. Key Responsibilities Practicum Host Development & Outreach: Identify, research, and engage potential PN practicum host organizations throughout Alberta (hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and community health organizations) via telephone, email, LinkedIn, and networking. Host Qualification & Onboarding: Pre-screen potential organizations, collect required documentation, coordinate approvals, and manage the affiliation agreement process from initial interest to signature. Affiliation Agreement Management: Maintain a centralized tracking system for prospective and approved organizations, tracking all pipeline stages from initial contact to active status while escalating compliance concerns. Relationship Management: Serve as the primary operational contact for organizations, maintaining regular communication to expand placement variety and volume. Pipeline & Capacity Management: Monitor placement demand, anticipate capacity gaps, and prioritize outreach based on geographic needs and program requirements. Data Management & Reporting: Keep accurate CRM/database records of all prospective and approved organizations, preparing regular reports on outreach activity and KPIs. Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the National Director of Student Experience, Campus Directors, Career Services, PN Program leadership, Academic teams, and Compliance to ensure efficient approval workflows. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Number of qualified PN practicum organizations identified, contacted, and engaged. Number of completed affiliation agreements (Target: 32 agreements) and newly activated hosts. Time from initial contact to signed affiliation agreement. Accuracy and completeness of the practicum host database and ability to eliminate capacity gaps. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, Career Development, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred. Experience: 2–4 years of experience in career services, business development, partnership development, employer relations, healthcare recruitment, account management, community engagement, or practicum/placement coordination. Travel: Ability to travel across Alberta regularly to visit host organizations. Skills & Competencies: Strong business development, relationship-building, and negotiation skills; excellent verbal and written communication; high attention to detail; proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and CRM/database systems.
