Position: Azure Application Architect Location: Burlington or London offices, ON - Hybrid (3 days per week onsite) Salary: $120,000-$140,000 Position Type: Full-time, Permanent Posting Type: Open vacancy Our Non-Profit client is hiring an Azure Application Architect. This role focuses on designing and implementing Azure-based solutions, automating processes, integrating heterogeneous applications, and supporting web and ERP developers throughout the solution lifecycle. What You'll Do: - Lead the design and architecture of external customer business systems - Translate business and technical requirements into functional and technical solutions - Oversee the technical implementation of medium to large-sized IT initiatives and projects - Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project and solution lifecycle - Develop and maintain architectural documentation and end-to-end integrated solution blueprints - Identify opportunities to improve scalability, responsiveness, utilization and availability - Support ERP and web developers with Azure features and functionality - Provide direction on system integration and ensure integration projects meet business and end-user requirements - Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve cost effectiveness, flexibility and innovation - Collaborate across departments to ensure consistent and accurate information flow between systems - Plan software promotions and act as the gatekeeper between development and production systems What You Bring: - 10+ years' experience designing and implementing scalable, secure cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services - Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture and cloud-native application designs - Experience leading architecture design, integration and deployment of Azure applications and services - Experience defining and implementing cloud architecture standards, security and compliance frameworks - Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders, developers and operations teams - Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD, automation and Infrastructure as Code - Experience guiding cloud migration strategies from on-premises systems to Azure Cloud Solutions - Experience monitoring, optimizing and troubleshooting Azure solution performance, cost and reliability - Technical leadership, mentoring and architectural governance experience - Knowledge of Azure services including App Services, Functions, Service Bus, SQL and Storage - Knowledge of cloud architecture patterns including microservices, event-driven and serverless - Knowledge of security and identity including Entra ID, RBAC and Zero Trust - Knowledge of DevOps and automation including Azure DevOps, Terraform and ARM/Bicep - Knowledge of integration including APIs, messaging and hybrid connectivity Interested?
