Job summary

Position Department: Management Position School: Rockwell School of Business Overview: The Management Department in the Rockwell School of Business is seeking a motivated and creative Federal Work Study student to assist with the department’s social media, marketing, communications, and event activities. The primary responsibility of the position is to help manage and develop content for the Management Department’s Instagram and LinkedIn accounts while working closely with the Department Head, faculty, students, alumni, and others to identify and share department news, accomplishments, events, and experiential learning opportunities. Responsibilities: Assist with managing the Management Department’s Instagram and LinkedIn accounts; identify opportunities for regular and engaging content; develop, draft, and schedule social media posts; communicate with faculty and students to gather information, photographs, and event details; take photographs and gather content at selected events; maintain a social media content calendar; design flyers, social media graphics, event announcements, and other promotional materials; promote department programs, student organizations, competitions, events, and initiatives; provide support at selected department events; and assist the Department Head with other communication, marketing, and administrative projects as needed Minimum Qualifications: Must be eligible for Federal Work Study for Fall 2026 and be a current Robert Morris University undergraduate student pursuing a BSBA degree, preferably with a major in Management. The student should have an interest in social media, marketing, communications, event promotion, or content creation; be comfortable using Instagram and LinkedIn; possess strong written and verbal communication skills; interact professionally with members of the RMU community; demonstrate creativity and attention to detail; be dependable, organized, and able to work independently; manage multiple small projects and deadlines; and have experience with Canva or similar tools, or a willingness to learn.
