Position Summary: Russell Tobin is seeking experienced and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with Operating Room (OR) experience for a travel contract opportunity in White Rock, British Columbia. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative teams to provide safe, high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities: Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies for procedures. Assist the surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment throughout operations. Support patient positioning, preparation, and transfer according to surgical and safety protocols. Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively and report changes in condition to the care team. Perform documentation related to patient care, surgical procedures, and equipment usage. Adhere to infection prevention, sterilization, and workplace safety standards. Collaborate with surgeons, Registered Nurses, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, professional standards, and best practices in perioperative care. Qualifications: Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) experience. Current BLS Certification. Perioperative or surgical nursing experience preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care.
