As a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), you will be responsible for guiding, teaching, and ensuring the safety of children from infant to school age at centres located in Oakville. Your responsibilities include maintaining a high-quality learning environment, assessing, observing, and caring for the individual needs of each child, and maintaining professional communication with parents and co-workers. We offer on-the-job training and professional development opportunities Three months of a public transit or gas card if you work 10 or more shifts per month Participate in Sentient HR’s reward and recognition program, PERKS Working Conditions Occasional light to medium physical effort, including lifting, bending, and stooping Must be able to work outdoors in all seasons Responsibilities Fulfill the lead teacher’s program and daily activities; if no plan exists, create and implement a developmentally appropriate program Promote the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual well-being of children Provide supervision and prioritize the safety of children; understand and comply with CCEYA, public health, and Sentient HR policies Facilitate and participate with children in planned activities Maintain and complete comprehensive documentation of children’s development and interactions Report issues or concerns that may arise in accordance with centre procedures Foster positive relationships and develop rapport through effective communication with peers Work cooperatively as a team member and maintain a positive attitude Perform other duties as assigned Requirements ECE Diploma from a recognized Ontario college In good standing with the College of ECEs Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check within the last 6 months Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C Familiarity with HDLH, AQI, and CCEYA Reliable transportation within Oakville Application Details Qualified and interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications directly. Requirements
Candidates must hold an ECE Diploma from a recognized Ontario college and be in good standing with the College of ECEs. Additional requirements include a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check, valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification, and familiarity with relevant provincial regulations.
