Seeking a Legal Assistant with 5+ years of legal experience to support tax planning, document drafting, and tax administration matters in Calgary. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience managing complex legal files in a professional law firm environment. Responsibilities Liaise directly with clients to gather information for tax planning Prepare first drafts of tax documents and revise them based on client instructions Manage calendars for intake calls, conferences, and meetings Handle printing, scanning, emailing, and digital file maintenance Correspond with banks and other institutions to obtain information for tax matters Prepare documents required for tax administration Organize client documents and prepare materials for drafting Draft and review corporate and tax documents Maintain organized electronic and physical client files Assist with creating document precedents and checklists Provide overflow clerical support to other practice areas Qualifications Legal Assistant certification or diploma from a recognized college or university 5+ years of Tax or Corporate experience in a law firm required Experience with legal software programs Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Experience with Clio, NetDocuments (NetDocs), and SAP Concur preferred Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills Exceptional attention to detail and reading comprehension Ability to build positive working relationships with lawyers, clients, and staff Proactive, reliable, independent, and detail-oriented High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion Ability to manage competing deadlines, work under pressure, and exercise sound judgment

Requirements
