Method of Delivery: In person Language of Work: Français | French Requirements and Nature of Work: Position Summary As a Laboratory Demonstrator, you will be responsible for supervising laboratory sessions during which you will deliver short instructional presentations and evaluate student performance. Duties also include grading laboratory reports for all assigned sections, as well as overseeing the introductory laboratory sessions held during the first week of the course. Additionally, you will be expected to respond to student inquiries via email and ensure the implementation of all laboratory safety protocols. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry or a related field Practical knowledge of standard biochemical techniques Completion of training on the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) Reading proficiency in English is considered an asset Additional Information and/or Comments: All University of Ottawa employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
