Job Title: Senior Web Back-End Developer Department: IT - Operations Position Status : Permanent Location: Montreal Office WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING · Design, develop, and optimize high-performance, user-friendly, and scalable web applications. · Create digital solutions that enhance the customer experience. · Lead back-end development with a strong focus on modern web technologies. · Develop and integrate e-commerce platforms and APIs. · Build seamless and scalable digital experiences for customers. · Identify opportunities to improve performance, functionality, and usability. · Apply strong problem-solving and innovative thinking to complex technical challenges. · Contribute to digital solutions within the travel and tourism industry. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. · 10+ years of professional experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java. · Proven experience designing and developing scalable microservices architectures. · Deep understanding of Spring Boot and the broader Spring ecosystem. · Experience deploying and managing applications in containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes. · Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. · Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus. · Strong understanding of RESTful API design and integration. · Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Reddis). · Experience with message brokers and event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka, Spring boot). · Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems. · Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. · Languages & Frameworks:Java (11+), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, RESTful APIs · Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (Helm, Kustomize) · Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) NoSQL (Redis) · Messaging & Streaming: Apache Kafka, Spring Boot · DevOps & CI/CD: Jenkins, bitbucket ArgoCD · Security: OAuth2, JWT, API security best practices · Version Control & Collaboration: Git, GitHub/Bitbucket,JIRA, Confluence WHY WORK WITH US?
