Position Summary: The Maintenance Tech is a front-line professional who ensures guests have a positive experience by maintaining all areas of the building, both internal and external. The Building Custodian must represent the hotel through excellence in service, skill and efficiency. The Building Custodian is required to maintain a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and holidays. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot & perform minor repairs at the property. Troubleshoot minor repairs on electrical, plumbing, cooling and ventilation systems. Empty waste containers as needed Move heavy furniture & equipment Paint, repair drywall Perform routine maintenance jobs and repairs Work with minimal supervision Required Skills and Abilities: Previous experience in a similar role would be an asset Must be able to communicate well in English – verbal and written Possess physical stamina and be able to manage time well Ability to work shift work, including weekends and holidays Security clearance required upon offer of employment Possess sensational customer service philosophy Highly organized, results-oriented and ability to work in a multi-functional team environment Working at Westcorp: Headquartered in Edmonton, Westcorp Property Management Inc. is a vertically integrated company that creates, invests in and manages residential, commercial, and hotel properties.
