Tech Lead - AI Full Stack Location: Canada (Remote) Salary: $140,000 - $170,000 CAD Type: Full Time Auxo is hiring a Tech Lead - AI Full Stack for an AI-native company transforming how finance and operations teams work through intelligent automation. You'll take ownership of a new product from 0→1, partnering closely with Product and Engineering leadership to define architecture, build core features, and help shape the future of the platform. This is a highly hands-on role for a backend-heavy full stack builder who enjoys creating products from scratch, mentoring developers, and operating with a high degree of autonomy. This is not an AI Research or Machine Learning role. The ideal candidate is a product-minded engineer who leverages AI as a force multiplier while remaining deeply involved in backend architecture, product development, and technical leadership. What You'll Do Architect and build a new AI-native product from 0→1 Design and develop backend services using Python Build frontend applications using React and TypeScript Own technical decisions and architecture Design APIs, services, and scalable data models Contribute to AI-powered workflows, LLM integrations, and agent-based systems Partner closely with Product Managers on solution design and discovery Mentor junior developers and elevate engineering standards Contribute to shared platform components used across products Drive software quality, performance, and maintainability Participate in product discovery and technical planning Who You Are 7+ years of software engineering experience Strong recent Python backend experience (Non-negotiable) React and TypeScript experience Experience building SaaS products from concept to production Experience building products from 0→1 Experience owning architecture and technical decisions Experience building products in startup or high-growth environments Experience mentoring engineers Comfortable working with ambiguity and limited direction Experience with cloud-native applications, APIs, and scalable architectures Exposure to AI-powered products, LLMs, RAG, or agent frameworks Comfortable using AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or Copilot Strong ownership mentality and product mindset

Candidates should have owned architecture and technical decisions, mentored engineers, worked in startup or high-growth environments, and be comfortable with ambiguity; exposure to LLMs, RAG, agent frameworks, and AI development tools is also sought.
