Business Analyst - Payments Location: Toronto, ON Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — 4 days in office Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: Through Oct 29th 2027 (extension possible; conversion to permanent possible) Pay Rate: C$64.00–C$78.00 / Hour (CAD) Shift / Schedule: Monday–Friday, core business hours; overtime as needed Travel Requirements: Not required Job Summary Reporting to the Senior Manager, Payments Platform Capabilities, the successful candidate will play a critical role in the management and delivery of business analysis activities on complex, transformational, cross-functional project(s) for Enterprise Payments. Key Responsibilities Leadership of the end-to-end business requirements throughout the lifecycle of the project, working collaboratively with stakeholders from lines of business, technology, operations and governance & control, always keeping a customer-centric focus Proactive identification and management of requirement risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints Contribution to Change Management deliverables (stakeholder analysis, gap analysis, change planning, etc.) to ensure readiness of our customers, colleagues and cross-functional stakeholder groups Application of a variety of business analysis tools and techniques to solicit requirements and ensure alignment with business and Enterprise Payments' needs and strategies Adherence to Enterprise Project Management governance and controls to ensure requirement deliverables meet best practices and standards Collaboration with technology partners, providing recommendations towards system requirements and design to ensure alignment to business requirements Contribution to Quality Assurance activities by supporting development of test strategies, test plans and test scenarios; and active participation in assessment and resolution of testing defects Contribution to team development of skills and capabilities through mentorship of colleagues by sharing knowledge and experiences Fostering a collaborative team environment by actively participating in team meetings and reward & recognition programs Contribution to a positive work environment by embracing diversity in the workplace and supporting and proudly representing the organization in the community Required Skills Advanced knowledge of business analysis, project delivery practices and standards across the project life cycle Proven track record working in project delivery, with experience in various project disciplines (PDLC, Iterative, Agile) Proven experience in successful requirements delivery for large, complex, multi-stakeholder programs/projects Strong leadership with a demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with all levels Strong verbal/written communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills, adapting style and technique to a diverse audience 8 years of experience in business analysis (BA accreditation is an asset) Prior experience in a financial institution (payments-focused role is an asset) Preferred Skills Prior experience in Agile requirements delivery is an asset Payments-focused role is an asset BA accreditation is an asset Education Requirements Bachelor's degree required Required Experience 8–10 years of overall experience 8 years of experience in business analysis Nice-to-Have Experience Prior experience in a financial institution with a payments focus is an asset Prior experience in Agile requirements delivery is an asset Important Notes Interview process: 2 rounds — 1st round virtual (camera on) and 2nd round in person Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund About the Client This client is a leading financial services and banking organization operating across Canada, employing thousands of professionals in roles spanning technology, payments, operations, risk, and governance.
