A well-established residential developer and homebuilder is seeking a Safety Advisor to support health, safety, and environmental initiatives across multiple active construction sites. This is an opportunity to join a growing organization committed to building quality communities while maintaining a strong safety culture and ensuring every team member returns home safely each day. responsibilities include: Conducting regular site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments on active construction projects. Supporting site teams with incident investigations, reporting, corrective actions, and root cause analysis. Delivering safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training programs. Monitoring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and company policies. Reviewing safe work practices, procedures, and emergency response plans. Tracking safety metrics, inspection findings, and corrective action items. Supporting COR/SECOR maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborating with project managers, superintendents, and trades to identify and mitigate workplace hazards. Participating in safety meetings and assisting with the development of site-specific safety plans. Ensuring subcontractors meet required safety standards and documentation requirements. To be successful in this role, you will possess: must be NCSO certified 3+ years of construction health and safety experience, preferably within residential construction. Strong knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation. Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and incident investigations. COR Auditor certification or willingness to obtain. NCSO, CRSP, HSA, or related health and safety designation considered an asset. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to influence and engage site personnel at all levels. Excellent organizational and reporting skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management systems. Valid driver's licence and ability to travel between project sites.

Candidates should have experience with inspections, audits, and incident investigations; COR Auditor certification or willingness to obtain it; strong communication and organizational skills; Microsoft Office and safety-system proficiency; and a valid driver's licence with ability to travel between sites.
