As a Senior SCADA Engineer based in Edmonton, Alberta, you'll contribute to complex projects that support reliable, efficient, and secure power systems while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients across a diverse project portfolio. YOUR IMPACT * Lead the design and integration of SCADA, automation, communications, and control systems for utility and industrial clients. * Develop communication architectures, network designs, and technical specifications that enhance reliability and cybersecurity. * Deliver IEC 61850 digital substation solutions and support modern grid infrastructure initiatives. * Configure and commission RTUs, IEDs, PLCs, HMIs, and associated automation platforms * Support project execution through technical documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities. * Collaborate with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal disciplines to achieve successful project outcomes. * Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence, best practices, proposals, and estimates. * Advance resilient and sustainable energy systems through innovative engineering solutions. THE SKILLS THAT SET YOU APART * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. * Professional Engineer designation in Canada, or eligibility for registration. * 8+ years of experience in SCADA, automation, communications, protection and control environments. * Strong expertise with IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, OPC/OPC UA, and related communication protocols. * Experience with RTACs, HMIs, networked control systems, and substation integration projects.
