Role Description The Cost Analyst role at Kisko Products is a full-time, hybrid position based in Woodbridge, ON. In this role, the individual is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and reporting product costs across the organization. This role partners closely with Finance and Operations to ensure accurate costing, identify cost-saving opportunities, support pricing decisions, and improve manufacturing efficiency. The Costing Analyst will play a key role in inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis, budgeting, and operational performance reporting.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the position works collaboratively with Operations, Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams to support business decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Cost Accounting & Analysis Maintain and update standard product costs, bills of materials (BOMs), and routing information. Analyze manufacturing costs including labour, materials, overhead, waste, and production efficiencies. Perform monthly cost variance analysis and identify key cost drivers. Monitor inventory valuation and ensure costing accuracy. Support month-end and year-end financial close activities related to inventory and cost accounting. Conduct profitability analysis by product, customer, and production line. Operational Partnership Work closely with Operations leaders to understand manufacturing processes and identify improvement opportunities. Analyze production performance, yield, scrap, and waste metrics. Support operational decision-making through financial analysis and reporting. Assist with business cases for capital expenditures, process improvements, and operational investments. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and efficiency gains. Budgeting & Forecasting Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes. Develop cost models and financial projections. Track actual performance against budget and forecast assumptions. Prepare management reports and KPI dashboards. Systems & Reporting Maintain costing data within ERP systems. Develop and enhance costing reports and dashboards. Ensure integrity and accuracy of cost-related data. Support process improvements and automation initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. 3–5 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or financial analysis. Manufacturing or food manufacturing experience preferred. Experience with standard costing and inventory accounting. ERP system experience (SAP, Dynamics, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.) considered an asset Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
