This position starts immediately and has a contract end date of June 30, 2027. Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students. Educational Assistants support students with intensive needs in five key areas: providing personal care, life skills and experiences, academic assistance, communication, and behavioral support as required by students and directed by teachers. Qualifications Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience Post-secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program would be considered an asset The Right Person will genuinely appreciate working with children and demonstrate patience, show empathy, and help make learning fun; possess strong planning and organizational skills while showing initiative ; have excellent communication skills and a willingness to work independently be positive, enthusiastic and thrive in a team environment. Requirements

A minimum of Grade 12 education and at least one year of relevant childcare experience are required. A post-secondary certificate in Early Learning and Childcare, Youth Care Worker, or an equivalent program is an asset; the role also calls for patience, empathy, strong planning and organizational skills, initiative, communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
