Electricians - Apprentices, Journeypersons, Service & Generator Technicians, and Foremen Locations: Nanaimo, Parksville, Campbell River, Comox Valley, Victoria, Port Alberni & Tofino, BC About The Opportunity Our client is looking for electricians at all levels for multiple opportunities with a growing electrical contractor on Vancouver Island. 1- Service Electricians Service Electricians will work on a variety of industrial, commercial, and residential service calls. The work is varied and requires strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Responsibilities Perform electrical service, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting Diagnose electrical issues and determine appropriate solutions Complete service upgrades and related electrical work Work on industrial, commercial, and residential service calls Communicate directly with customers and provide professional service Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications Complete work safely, efficiently, and to required standards Qualifications Journeyperson Electrician or Electrical Apprentice experience Previous electrical service experience is an asset Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's licence is an asset for applicable positions 2-Generator & Backup Power Technicians We are looking for electricians with generator experience, as well as electricians interested in developing specialized skills in generators, solar, and backup power systems. Responsibilities Install, connect, troubleshoot, maintain, and service standby power systems Perform generator-related electrical installations and connections Diagnose and troubleshoot backup power systems Perform preventative maintenance and servicing Support installation and servicing of solar and backup power systems Test and verify electrical systems and equipment Follow safety procedures and electrical standards Qualifications Electrical trade experience or apprenticeship experience Generator, standby power, solar, or backup power experience is an asset Strong electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics Good mechanical/electrical problem-solving ability Willingness to learn and develop specialized generator skills Generator experience is not mandatory. Strong electricians who are interested in learning the generator side of the trade are encouraged to apply. 3- Commercial Electricians Commercial Electricians will work on projects ranging from smaller commercial installations to larger construction projects across Vancouver Island. Responsibilities Perform commercial electrical installations Complete electrical layout and installation work Read and interpret drawings and specifications Coordinate electrical work with other trades Support project planning and coordination Maintain quality and safety standards on project sites Mentor apprentices where applicable Assist with site coordination and leadership Qualifications Electrical apprenticeship or Journeyperson experience Commercial construction experience is an asset Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices Ability to work safely and efficiently on construction sites Good communication and teamwork skills 4-Electrical Foremen We are seeking experienced electricians who are ready to take on crew leadership and project coordination responsibilities. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate electrical crews on project sites Plan and organize daily electrical activities Coordinate work with General Contractors and other trades Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications, schedule, and safety requirements Mentor and support apprentices and junior electricians Assist with project planning and site coordination Monitor quality, productivity, and job progress Communicate project requirements and issues to management Qualifications Journeyperson Electrician experience Previous electrical crew leadership or Foreman experience preferred Strong commercial or construction electrical background Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to coordinate multiple activities on a construction site Strong leadership and mentoring skills 5-Apprentice Electricians We are hiring apprentices at different stages of their electrical apprenticeship. Responsibilities Assist Journeypersons and Foremen with electrical installations Learn and perform electrical work according to training and experience level Assist with material handling, layout, installation, and testing Follow electrical codes, company procedures, and safety requirements Develop practical skills through on-the-job training Work effectively with electricians and other trades Qualifications Registered electrical apprentice or relevant electrical training Willingness to learn and develop within the electrical trade Good work ethic and positive attitude Strong safety awareness Ability to work as part of a team Previous construction or electrical experience is an asset 6-Residential Electricians Residential Electricians will work on homes and residential projects throughout Vancouver Island.
