The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining inventory levels of tools and equipment while ensuring all items are properly barcoded and tracked in SAP. They also perform daily housekeeping duties and adhere to strict health and safety protocols, including hazard reporting and safety training.

Job details

Issuing tools, equipment, and PPE * Organize tool crib for efficiency * Scan employee barcodes and crib barcoded items * Ensure items and employees have barcodes (printing barcodes) * Check tool and equipment condition upon return, issue for repair or cleaning * Check expiry dates on relevant items and send out if needed * Confirm location for stock in SAP * Update SAP for incoming and outgoing PMO orders * Provide order requests to Material Coordinators for all non-stock items * Pick/prep PMO orders for trades * Provide serialized reporting to unit leads as requested * Escalate damaged, modified or out of service tools to leadership Manage Inventory Levels on Barcoded Items * Ensure all items are scanned * Perform regular cycle counts * Initiate orders in PCTC * Make requests for changes to order controls * Update PCTC stock levels with manually signed out items * Receive stock, confirm quantities with packing slip * Load Shelves and keep organized * Manage stock back-order reports * Add new stock with the approval of Dow (NOC required) * Remove stale stock with the approval of Dow House Keeping * Keep crib counter area organized and clean * Keep indoor walkways and racking area clean * Ensure all returned tools are put away * Clean floors with walk behind mop * Empty garbage's and recycling Health and Safety * Daily FLHA/PTA cards * Bi-Weekly safety meeting attendance * Weekly hazard ID cards * On-time completion of all Dow required courses (Diamond Learning) * Read, understand, and follow Vallen's health, safety, and environment policies and all applicable OH&S legislation/regulations * Actively participate in Vallen's health and safety management system, including training, audits, assessments, safety meetings, and inspections * Identify, control, and report workplace hazards including following WHMIS/TDG requirements and reporting near misses * Report workplace injuries immediately and participate in any return-to-work programs or requirements * Be fit for duty and physically capable of performing all required tasks * Other duties as required. Qualifications High School Diploma required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Minimum 1-3 years of related experience, preferable in a Sales/Distribution environment. IND123
