Summary Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto is looking for volunteers to participate in our One-to-One In-School Mentoring program (ISM) in partnering schools across the city of Toronto. We seek to inspire growth and development amongst children and youth in Location Address Across the GTA TORONTO, Ontario M4E2P5 When Opportunity Type Ongoing - Start Anytime Schedule Asap About This Opportunity About Our In-School Mentoring Program (ISM) The individualized In-School Mentoring program (ISM) is a weekly, school-based program where students identified as needing additional support are referred to for mentorship to promote academic and personal success. Volunteers are matched to one student/mentee based on mutual interests and personality traits, creating a Big/Little Sibling match. Each week, volunteers will visit their Little's corresponding school for a one-hour visit and participate in activities of their Little's choosing (e.g. arts and crafts, board games, sports, reading, baking, etc.). Time Commitment :1 hour in-school visits each week /Spans across the school year (approx. September to June) Volunteer Requirements Whether you meet these requirements or not, we encourage you to share your interest in us. You may still be a fit for a different opportunity with our organization. Requirements

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, complete the organization's assessment and Big Fundamentals training, and provide a Vulnerable Sector Check issued within the past year. Three references who have known the volunteer for at least two years are required, along with the ability to commute to the school.
