Ledcor is hiring a full-time Transportation Compliance Coordinator to join our team in Edmonton, AB. In this role, you will proactively identify opportunities to create efficiencies and close gaps within Ledcor's NSC/CVOR and DOT compliance programs, along with the individual Carriers' implementation of these programs. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you'll be a key connection point between operations, safety, and regulatory requirements across the business. You will require an in-depth understanding of NSC/CVOR and DOT rules and regulations, and you'll take that knowledge into the field through regular audits to identify and remedy compliance gaps before they become problems. Essential Responsibilities Perform monthly NSC/CVOR and DOT field audits in collaboration with the Compliance Manager, including post-audit action plans with recommendations from the field Conduct weekly and bi-weekly action plan calls to track progress and drive resolution Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting across SMS, CVOR, Carrier Profiles, HOS, Defects, Permits, and Gate Checks Identify and address front-line compliance issues with operations, including defect management Develop and deliver training content and safety meetings as requested by operations Support needs identification and project delivery for operations-requested training initiatives Stay current on jurisdictional regulations and identify requirements for additional training Lead proactive communication efforts with operations on best practices, compliance requirements, and preventative measures Attend safety and monthly compliance meetings; participate in corporate audits and action planning Prepare and distribute safety alerts as applicable Support the Compliance Team in the proactive review and updating of Compliance Manuals and CMS procedures Qualifications 2+ years of experience in a comparable compliance, safety, or transportation coordination role Working knowledge of NSC/CVOR and DOT regulations across North American jurisdictions Experience in general transportation safety and an ability to build rapport with field operations teams Strong verbal and written communication skills, including comfort presenting to large groups Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint); familiarity with JD Edwards and Workday an asset Highly organized with strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple competing demands Demonstrated ability to work independently, research issues, and drive solutions Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Valid driver's license required Work Environment Office-based in Edmonton, AB Field travel required up to 25% of the time for site audits and compliance reviews May be required to operate a vehicle for business purposes Additional Information The Ledcor Group of Companies is one of North America’s most diversified construction companies.
