We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper with hands-on knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) to join our team in North York. This role is vital in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our clients' accounting needs from our office in Canada.

Qualifications

Strong bookkeeping skills, including experience with journal entries and maintaining accurate ledgers.

Hands-on knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO)

Previous experience in a public accounting or professional services environment is an asset. Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple client files and deadlines. Clear written and verbal communication skills and a client-service mindset. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, both independently and as part of a team.

QBO certification is an asset

Proficiency in QBO essential. Excel, word and excellent keyboard skills. Other software an asset Solid understanding of accounting principles, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable Ability to navigate many different accounting and admin software programs and apps Strong troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooksOnline and other accounting software.

Perform account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and account analysis

Process payroll and handle accounts payable and receivable Collaborate with accountants to support client needs Maintain organized financial records and documentation Support the team with ad hoc accounting tasks as required
